Cheers!!

Sweet little Granny/Liberal Destruction machine Nancy Pelosi once blurted during the fight over the healthcare bill, "...we have to pass the bill so that you can find out what is in it..." Her words echo in the annuls of history as, over the past year, the revelations coming out of the healthcare bill are more and more disturbing, and equally as absurd. The latest is the notion that breast pumps are an essential instrument that must be available to all mothers, at the expense of the insurance companies, and without a personal co-pay. The liberals who support this nonsense will tell you that breast pumps are essential to a newborn's well-being and are therefore a necessity that should not be gone without. These are the same liberals who argue that a baby is nothing but a wad of tissue and blood vessels before it is born and that having that baby should be, under all circumstances, a woman's choice. The liberals are constantly trying to have their cake and eat it too; on the one hand arguing that pregnancy should be a choice, but on the other hand, suggesting that the consequences, and expenses associated with that choice should be absorbed by society as a whole rather than the individual who exercised the choice to have a child. Either it's a choice, or it isn't. And...if it is, then with that choice, MUST come a recognition of the personal responsibility that a very personal decision demands. Why should I or anyone else have to pay higher premiums so that a person who makes a conscious decision to have a child, can have a breast pump for themselves paid for through health insurance? This is a classic case of the nanny state recipients milking themselves while simultaneously milking everyone else in the form of higher healthcare premiums. Babies aren't free. SOMEONE has to pay for them. Shouldn't that someone be the very people who made the decision to bring them into the world?

Planned parenthood came out with a commercial to celebrate the breast pump, birth control mandate outlined in the healthcare legislation. For them, this is a triumph of enormous proportions. In reality, this legislation is specifically geared toward engineering a form of "social justice" for all of the working mommas out there who don't have a "baby daddy" around to pay for stuff. These are mothers who need a pump in order to keep working and provide their children with breast milk instead of formula. Heaven forbid they should spend 30 or 40 bucks and buy themselves a manual pump like I did when I had my kids. Sure...it was a pain in the behind and it took about an hour to get enough milk, but my biceps got a workout and I didn't have to rely on yet another government sponsored or even worse, government MANDATED hand out.

I imagine once this legislation takes it strangle hold on the pregnant masses, there will be rioting in the streets if the pumps don't keep coming. I can picture it now. Looting, rioting, stealing, burning down buildings, all in the name of class warfare, and the need for $300 dual electric breast pumps, mandated by Uncle Sam and paid for by you and me.

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://sobusob.blogspot.com/2011/08/breast-milk-for-all-cheers.html' title='Breast Milk for All! Mr. Obama, the great Harvard Professor, has been officially schooled by Standard and Poors. It seems that his stellar education, and impressive track record as a professor and community organizer have left the nation with a less than perfect report card. For the first time in US history, the credit rating of the nation has been downgraded. Perhaps Mr. Obama can do what the teachers in downtown Atlanta did when test scores fell below the mark. If he plays his cards right, he might be able to add an extra A in between the two As and the plus sign that now signify our less than ideal credit worthiness. Perhaps he can use some of the billion dollars (which has come into his war chest by questionable means) to bribe the dirty little rich executives of S&P in order to cut the time in which it will take to regain our perfect triple A plus. As it stands, the average time to regain a triple A rating once it has been lost is somewhere near 10-12 years. But hey, unless he somehow convinces the dumbed down masses that he needs to be president for life like his good socialist buddy Hugo Chavez, he will hopefully be a one-term wonder and the damage will be something we can recover from eventually.

What is truly amazing about this situation is that Mr. Obama and his barrel of monkeys (ie., Tax Cheat Tim Geitner) take absolutely no blame for the fact that they have been downgraded and insist that the blame rests with S&P, Bush, the Tea Party, and anyone other than the big man in charge. If it weren't for the opposition Tea Party stepping up and making some noise, Mr. Obama would have overextended our economy by trillions more at this point. The "tea-baggers" are the only ones keeping Mr. Money Bags in check.

The only thing I can say about this whole mess is that there are those of us who knew from the beginning that electing an academic with no proven track record for any sort of real leadership and giving him the keys to the kingdom, is a lot like giving the keys to your prized classic car to a 16 year old testosterone filled teen-aged boy and then expecting him to drive the speed limit and be home on time. Mr. Obama has spent this country into oblivion so fast, all of our heads are still spinning and yet there are still those on the left who feel he hasn't done enough to drive our economy and our way of life into the ground. My hope is that Mr. Obama will continue to make a horses arse out of himself by engaging in regular teleprompted, monotonic rants...preferably the kind that interrupt everyone's favorite television shows. As long as he keeps talking, his chance of being re-elected for another disastrous four years will continue to diminish. The truly spectacular thing about Mr. Obama is his out and out arrogance and his complete inability to relate to the common man. I just hope that the GOP steps it up and nominates someone who is less of a walking, talking gaffe than Mr. Obama and his trusty sidekick Joe "the schmoe" Biden. In the meantime, we will have to accept that our perfect 4.0 has just been reduced to a measely 3.875. Good thing we're not all trying to get into Harvard.

Guam might not capsize, but Guatemala may fall into a black hole.

Yahoo news reported today on a GIGANTIC sink hole that has formed in a heavily populated area of downtown Guatemala City. Apparently, heavy storms and flooding have caused the hole to form. I am quite sure that those on the left will take this as an opportunity to call new attention to Global Warming...although a likelier explanation may be that the hole was formed due to MASSIVE amounts of oil being unleashed from under the earths surface in the Gulf of Mexico. Mr. Obama had better think on his feet, so that Guam doesn't capsize, and Guatemala doesn't get sucked into a black hole. How long has it been now? Over a month since the big bang in the ocean sent oil on a mad dash to the surface...This is way worse than Bush's Katrina. And no amount of tele-prompted, heavily scripted, pedantic gibberish is going to get Mr. O out of this one. He may want to enlist the help of Tom Thumb to plug that hole. Or, maybe he can just get a whole bunch of book smart, street stupid intellectuals to come out of their respective Starbucks, stop drinking their cafe double choco mocha latte's and stand together in a circle chanting Kumbaya, and holding hands, each with their eyes closed tightly, sitting serenely in the lotus position. Now THAT might work! Apparently, the junk shot, and the mud shot...and the nuclear option are off the table. We wouldn't want to harm the fishes with an underground nuclear explosion. It's MUCH more humane to let them all suffocate in a black tar pool. Mr. O, thanks for giving me so much to write about. Nearly a year and a half into the imperial presidency of Mr. Obama...and what do we have for ourselves? Trillions of dollars more debt, Marxist infiltration of all levels of our government, and EVERY promise broken. Our President, who was supposed to unify the nation has done nothing but spend every waking hour devising ways to tear us apart and break down the very foundation upon which our nation was built. All the while, playing every move with typical smoke and mirrors, just hoping that the masses are dumb enough not to notice the slight of hand. This president, who promised transparency is doing every thing he can to build a wall around himself and his cohorts. They claim to be for freedom, and yet they and their union cronies will stop at nothing to stifle ANY and all opposition to their best laid plans. Take for example the most recent development regarding Delta Airlines and Mr. Obama's push to change a rule that has been in existence for generations. Out of nowhere, all that is required for Delta employees to unionize is a simple majority. The unions under Mr. Obama become stronger, and the power shifts even further to the leftist wack jobs that are currently in control.

Mr. O recently gave a speech at a graduation ceremony of a traditionally black college. There, he spoke about the notion that certain "information" from a number of sources could be detrimental to one's well being and that caution must be taken in order to be sure that this type of information does not become a "distraction." I ask you Mr. President, a distraction from WHAT? From the truth that you have tried so hard to hide? Radicalism...Marxism...redistributive change in the name of Social Justice?? These are all things Mr. Obama was born and raised to embrace. I just hope the nation comes out of it's "Change" induced coma long enough to realize what is happening and remembers to vote in November to stop this crazy train from leaving the station on another wild ride. Taking back our government and our nation is a matter of necessity. It is not something we can sit by and casually hope that others will take care of. Those of us who actually care about the direction our nation is headed MUST stand up and be heard. We MUST not forget the lessons of the past. I encourage all of you...(all 4 of you ;-) to be active rather than passive. Go out and volunteer with a local political campaign. Join a local tea party and stand together with others who recognize just how dangerous to our liberty this current situation has become. Let your voices be heard and don't be discouraged by what you hear from the leftist media and from those who have NO idea what we as a nation have fallen into. Don't let the left marginalize us. We are not "radicals" although I think conservatives could take a few lessons from Saul Alinsky's play book. It's time to fight so don't be afraid to get dirty. We are the new opposition party. We are the new revolutionaries, fighting against the oppression that comes from too much government and not enough personal freedom. If we are to win the battle, it has to be won strategically, intellectually, and in a way that places us in a position of respectability and credibility. We have to learn to beat the leftists at their own game. Call them hypocrites when that is what they become. Just LOOK at Nancy Pelosi today, calling for the leaders of the Catholic Church to preach immigration amnesty from their pulpits. HEAVEN forbid a republican should ask something political of their local clergy. We would have Nancy and ALL of the leftist cronies up in arms calling for separation of church and state and engaging in some trumped up ethics probe or other meaningless political posturing tactic. Instead, when it is expedient for people like Pelosi to use the Church to preach a message of liberalism, all of the sudden, separation of Church and State has very little meaning.

These are the kinds of things conservatives MUST hone in on. Leftists are human and they DO make mistakes. It is the duty of those of us who care about this nation to watch for those mistakes and expose them every chance we can get. Pelosi and the rest of those old cronies on capital hill can't be allowed to just get away with the kinds of things they have been so used to doing for so long now.

I just hope that we truly will "remember in November."

Mr. Brown goes to Washington

Liberal democrats across the nation are wetting their proverbial knickers over the recent surprise election of Republican Scott Brown to the US Senate seat held by the late Democratic Senator Ted Kennedy. All across the media-sphere, the liberal progressives are devouring eachother in a cannabilistic feeding frenzy over the loss of their beloved Obama-care Socialist Healthcare agenda.

Amazingly enough, Senators like John Kerry are now calling for compromise and open debate when just 72 hours ago, the democrats in congress had absolutely no qualms about shutting the "other side" out of the political process. Brash comments by first timers like the Senate Clown Al Franken, calling for those who opposed his liberal agenda to shut up and sit down, are going to be a thing of the past, as more and more voters recognize the wolf in sheeps clothing that is the hardline progressive movement within the democratic party.

Massachusetts was long considered home base for liberal progressivism, and the fact that a sleeper like Scott Brown could sweep in and steal the election away from a flock of over-confident and out of touch democrats has to leave the entire party quaking in their boots and wishing they hadn't been such a bunch of bullies and cry babies during the time when they actually held a filibuster proof majority.

If they were so interested in bi-partisanship, perhaps they should have played by the rules while they were a super-majority instead of using their power to formulate new rules, backdoor deals and arguably criminal tactics to push through an agenda that is only understood and accepted by those in the far left elite sector of the democratic party.

I say to them, come down to earth. Accept that fact that you are elitist, socialist, out of touch and out of time. The tea party, to which you were invited and did not attend, will continue to create a movement in this country that returns the population to the words and intentions of our founding fathers. Despite your best efforts to rewrite history and deceive the American people, you will be met with open public opposition and legal challenges to your various attempts to usurp power from the people under the guise of social justice and equality.

In saying all of this, I must also recognize that Mr. Brown is human, and unlike those who viewed Mr. Obama as a virtual Messiah, most Americans understand that Mr., Brown is first and foremost, a politician. Therefore, my advice to him would be to remember who elected him and that those who supported his meteoric rise to politcal stardome, can also destroy him politically if he betrays their trust and succumbs to the enticements of power and influence in Washington.

To him I say, "Good Luck Mr. Brown. You're gonna need it!"

Generation E for Entitlement

Throughout the better part of the 20th century, American culture has been associated with generational names, from the G.I. Generation, to the Baby Boomers, to Generation X and now Y. The 1980's gave way to the "Me Generation" while the 70's were all about Flower Power and self discovery.

As in earlier times, the new millenium brings with it a new generation and a brand new label. It is a generation marked by socialist ideology and collectivist thought. The E Generation, is a generation that believes that everyone is owed something and that each of us is entitled to receive the benefits of government intervention down to the most fundamental aspects of our lives. This generation likes to think that the government, rather than the individual, is the answer to all the worlds problems, and that personal accountability and responsibility should be replaced by a Robinhood-esque collectivism and vigilante form of social justice. The underpinnings of this philosophy are echoed in Marxist propaganda, and a generalized feeling that the "underclass" should rise up against the evil rich in an effort to level the playing field and create a utopian society in which everyone has an equal piece of the pie, despite his or her level of individual contribution.

This generational philosophy has infiltrated its way into college classrooms where professors with opposing views are often overlooked for teaching positions; students with opposing views are often ridiculed for holding onto their outdated conservative principles, and where text books reek of marxism and anti-conservative/anti-individualist propaganda which is presented as fact, as the new generation absorbs these distortions like a sponge, never questioning the source. Public school curricula and independent children's books are overrun with messages that promote the idea that what's yours is mine and what's mine is mine and that individual achievement must not get in the way of social justice or the new manufactured "equality." On our soccer and baseball fields, it is now completely un-kosher to reward achievement since it is the commonly held belief of the new Generation E-ers that EVERYONE deserves a trophy and no one should be judged or upheld by their individual accomplishments. The dedicated work ethic of the star athlete is overshadowed by the need to make everyone feel included. This is based on the idea that we are all born equal. Equality, in the sense that those of Generation E would like to promote, has and always will be a facade because within the premise, lies the idea that we are all born the same, and that if we aren't, we must force those who are born with more, to provide for those who are born with less. This sort of homogeneous view of the world only serves to create an environment in which those who would excel become complacent because they are told on every level that their accomplishments mean nothing unless they happen to serve the greater collective good. I, for one, appreciate diversity. I appreciate the notion that my success may produce a product that is desirable. And that if I become successful enough, I can of my OWN will, choose to give back to my community rather than be forced to give in the form of yet another government mandated tax for the sake of "spreading the wealth around."

Throughout history it is easy to see how socialism has failed on every level. The equality of socialism is a concept for a world without differences in intellect, social status, health or stature. Socialism is a political ploy to enlist the masses in an effort to take wealth out of the hands of those who earn it, and place it in the hands of a government that would just as easily see us all poor and dependent, than find some of us at any sort of advantage. If we were all beautiful, intelligent and rich, the world would be a pretty boring place. Diversity is the key to understanding the mysteries of the universe. In this age of entitlement and political correctness, it is not okay to say that someone is different. It is no longer alright to call a spade a spade. It has to be called a wood and metal garden instrument or else someone might be "offended." I say that diversity is what makes this world go 'round and our inability to see it for what it is will certainly be our downfall as a society. In saying this, I in no way wish to imply that those who are less intelligent, or less attractive are less human. We are all human, with unique gifts, talents and abilities. We are also all subject to disability, ailment and transgression. However, I choose to live in a world where passion gives way to creation and where it is perfectly alright for someone to score higher on a test than someone else, and for the winning team to get a trophy and the rest to receive medals according to their ranking. Competition breeds innovation and diversity leads to greater understanding and hopefully a true level of empathy as opposed to a man-made forced "equality." I also believe that people must be held accountable for their actions and that someone who lives responsibly should not be punitively made to take care of others who do not. The responsible person, who goes to work 10 hours a day to provide for his family should not be made to pay the bills of the irresponsible person who chooses to take part in activities which voluntarily hinder his or her ability to be productive or self sufficient such as drug use, alcohol abuse or other vices that have been tragically labeled as "diseases" in our politically correct society. Alcoholism, despite bold mislabeling by the APA, is NOT a disease. It is a choice which often leads to an addiction, but to call it a disease, is to allow for complete abdication of any responsibility on the part of the user or abuse. In that regard, it should be just as easy for someone to label a pattern of physical abuse as a disease and excuse it as out of one's control not to injure another in a fit of rage. No one forces a person to do drugs. No one is forced to consume alcohol or sit on their rear ends all day collecting a government check while others live more responsibly and try their hardest to make ends meet. And certainly, no one forces a person to become abusive to others. To these people I have only this to say. "Grow up and stop expecting the world to take care of you. Stop blaming others for your choices and recognize that no matter where you may come from, it is up to you where you will go from here. It's time to take care of yourself and accept responsibility for the mistakes you have made. Own up to them, and then get the help you need in order to overcome them...then get out there and get an education and a job like the rest of us!"

I applaud those who have sought and continue to seek freedom from discrimination, but there is a fundamental difference between the fighting of discriminatory practices, and the drive for socialist equality. Socialism does not discriminate. Whether you are black or white, yellow or brown, if you succeed and obtain wealth, it WILL be taken from you and given to others who do not. I believe in the human spirit and the idea that anyone, despite their socio-economic status at birth, can live to their fullest potential if they simply recognize that, despite their personal hardship, they are the master of their own choices in life and that happiness will only come to those who recognize that it begins as a desire from within and grows from an inner strength of character that knows no racial or socio-economic bounds. Hopefully, Generation E will give way finally to Generation PR for personal responsibility. Until then, those of us who recognize the wolf in sheeps clothing that is modern socialism/progressivism, will continue to have to fight for the right to be individuals in a society that wants us all to believe that individualism is an evil that society must erradicate.

Dithering, blithering...and slithering!

After Mr. Obama's breathtaking speech last night in which he detailed not only his traitorous plan for a troop surge, but also his highly thought out and brilliantly articulated plan for a brave, yet bold retreat from Afghanistan, one can hardly help but think of the tail of Sir Robin from Monty Python and the Holy Grail. "Bravely taking to defeat, he beat a very brave retreat..." This could be taken on as the theme song for the far left wing of the democratic party. After all, one could hardly expect to have any sort of military action without also expecting an arbitrary time table for withdrawal. These days the two seem to go hand in hand. "That's right. Look out all you terrorists. We are going to come there and kick some serious you know what...for about a year and a half...and then we're gonna go home. Let's just see if you can outlast us! What do you think you will do? Hide in the mountains? You can't do that forever...or can you?"

President Obama, Aka King Community Organizer, is tragically naive in thinking that his charm, good looks and Harvard law vocabulary are in any way influencing the current bad boy club of socialist and totalitarian world dictators toward giving up their evil ways and joining his crusade for a world free of nuclear weapons, not to mention giving these dictators any real reason to stop what they are doing and sit down at the negotiating table. This could also be best summed up in the Sir Robin portion of the Holy Grail in which the 3 headed knight argued with himself over whether or not to kill Sir Robin. Sir Robin starts out by being inconspicuous, then uses his status as a Knight of the Round Table in an attempt to sway the three headed knight, and allow for his safe passage. When Sir Robin makes his announcement, the three headed knight gives mixed reaction. "Well, in that case I shall have to kill you. Shall I? Oh I don't think so...Well what do I think? I say Kill him! Oh, let's be nice to him...Quick get the sword out, I want to cut his head off!" It's the "Let's be nice to him" part that has caused our president to become a weak and blundering clown on the world stage. He has assumed that being "nice" will get him somewhere with regard to foreign policy in a time of war. Sitting down at the diplomatic table with a bunch of barbaric terrorists who have no interest in being nice, or in playing by the rules, is surely a recipe for disaster that will not simply impact Mr. Obama's image around the world, but will set our nation up as a target for further ridicule and abuse by the very people with which Mr. Obama is trying to make nice. It is the three headed knight in the form of Afghanistan, Iran and North Korea that will not hesitate to "Quick get the sword out" while Mr. Obama is mid sentence in yet another of his tele-prompted, pretentious and often long-winded speeches. Unlike Sir Robin, who bravely ran away, Mr. Obama will be at the mercy of those wielding their proverbial "swords." and may not have the same opportunity to beat a safe retreat.

Giving our enemies a time table for our withdrawal in the same speech that we are announcing our intentions to double our troop numbers, is essentially a cue for our enemies to exercise patience, and to attack when we have our backs turned toward the door.

I am perpetually amazed at the brazen self love and seemingly complete lack of understanding that Mr. Obama exhibits on a regular basis. I am only left to assume that when the bully was attacking him on the playground, his only defense was to charm his way out of a black eye.

Mr. Obama, I am afraid in this case, you're in for a serious shiner. Better get out the ice packs and be ready for our enemies to decide yet again, that they don't play by the same rules, or any rules for that matter. That is why we are in for a rude awakening if we adopt this strategy of blow up and blow out, rather than making a serious long term commitment to finishing this conflict once and for all, and not settling for second best.

Right Wing Radicals or Community Organizers?

As events unfold over the next several weeks in preparation for the government's attempted hijacking of the health care system of the United States, the question must be asked about those of us who are in opposition to this latest attempt by the new socialist party to strip this nation of the right to free speech and freedom of assembly. Are we all a bunch of highly funded, highly organized "Astro-turfers" as Nancy Pelosi and the Obama administration so lovingly referred to us? Or are we a loosely organized, yet HIGHLY motivated group of average citizens who are tired of the Washington Elite chipping away at our Constitution in order to further their own political ambitions? Are we not simply taking the same path that Mr. Obama has always taken in the form of Community organizing? When Acorn "organized the community" in order to steal votes and get Mr. Obama in office, I am pretty sure I didn't hear anything from the ACLU or other "public interest group" about how the actions of these so-called "average citizens" could be in violation of our nations laws. Voter fraud was dismissed as only sporatic and inconsequential; meanwhile, the Democratic National Committee and Obama's thugs did everything in their power to disable the tracking mechanism for all of these "individual donations" that were pouring in from untraceable sources on pre-paid credit cards. Now that Mr. Obama is in office, he has systematically followed the outline of Karl Marx himself as he stated in the communist manifesto so many years ago. We have seen in the past 6 months, the government take over of private industry, a new dictator rising to power who can nationalize banks and private lending institutions; put caps on private CEO salaries; fire people who don't even work for him (ie., CEOs of private corporations), spend way more money than taxpayers have the capacity to re-generate, appoint over 30 "Czars" who have no accountability and answer only to the President; push through the most massive government spending bill in history with no accountability for his actions; institute a "cap and trade" policy that some how mysteriously benefits those who contributed massively to Mr. Obama's campaign (GE and Jeffrey Immelt) and NOW, after all of that and more, he is trying to nationalize healthcare and take over our ability to access private insurance under the guise of much needed reform.

Now, after all this, average citizens are starting to wake up from what ever happy drug they were fed during the campaign, and are beginning to see that maybe all of those who claimed that Mr. Obama and his associations were Marxist wolves in sheeps clothing could have been telling the truth! Now, those same people, along with people who never fell under Mr. Obama's spell, are standing up in loud opposition to these policies and procedures which are being shoved down our throats in an attempt to have us swollow them before we have a chance to taste them and spit them out!

THESE people, who stand up against Mr. Obama and his socialist machine, are being sought out as enemies. The white house has asked that anyone who hears or reads anything "in casual conversation" which might be in opposition to their healthcare plan, should report that so-called "dis-information" to a special e-mail address so that these claims can be "investigated" (aka targeted and blacklisted) by the administration.

Don't you get it folks? He is asking that you and I report our neighbors, friends and family for the "casual conversations" we have regarding something we oppose, which the government under Obama is trying to shove down our throats. He wants to know who we are.

What ever happened to freedom of speech? What ever happened to our ability as US citizens to ask for a "redress of grievences?" when we feel we are being bamboozled and swindled by our nations highest leader. I am afraid we are headed down the same road as Venezuela, which, until Hugo Chavez took power, was a democracy.

I find it curious that Acorn is a "community organization," and yet the unknown, random citizens who stand in opposition to socialism in america, are somehow all right wing extremists who need to be ratted out to the government.

Please do not think for one second that this man in the white house is not calculating his next move to gain power. This is not about you and me. It's about our nations ability to survive. We HAVE to stand up against this, or we will all be sorry we stood back and watched the country that we love, fall into the hands of a new dictator.

Oh, the IRONY

Below are two stories. One, is the story of an embattled female governor of a chilly state in the great north west...accused of horrible things such as...wearing nice clothes, firing a complete jerk who happened to be a relative, and creating a legal defense fund to help pay for the court cases surrounding such scandalous things like...wearing nice clothes and firing a complete jerk who happened to be a relative.

The other, is a story of a POWERFUL man...the most POWERFUL man in the world, who caved under the pressure of his POWERFUL job and had a little rendezvous with a sultry young intern under the desk in his big, round office and then had a tiny little memory lapse when questioned about it under oath.

Both of these people created legal defense funds. One of them took in donations totaling over $4 million dollars. The other, a mere $400,000 dollars by some estimates. One of them, got to USE the money he got from his buddies, and the other has been told that the mere CREATION of that fund, is yet another "ethics violation."

These stories are both so sad. I mean, one, the POWERFUL leader of the whole world, left his office after completing two full terms, only to find himself a gazillionaire, booking speaking engagements, creating a super duper library in his own name...and basically laughing his way to the bank.

The other, in the interest of preserving the dignity of her office, chose to resign from her post and will most likely spend a good bit of time cleaning up this mess...without the assistance of that ethical abomination of a legal defense fund. Hmm. I'm confused. But you should all read these stories for your selves and then be the judge.

http://www.nytimes.com/2009/07/22/us/politics/22palin.html

http://www.cnn.com/ALLPOLITICS/1998/02/18/defense.fund/

SOB U SOB...That about sums it up!

I chose the name for this primarily political blog, based on the phone number for the Congressional switchboard of the United States. I was listening to an incredibly intelligent, and articulate Herman Cain speak on his radio show the other day, encouraging all of us who are SICK and tired of the government taking over our wallets and our lives, to call our reps and senators to voice our concern over the latest Obamanation health care fiasco. When he relayed the Congressional Switchboard phone number, it was brought to his attention that the number actually translates to "Sob, U, Sob." Need anyone say more? I mean, this absolutely sums up what a growing majority of Americans are feeling about our elected officials. I find it truly amazing that for so long, so many of us have played such a passive role in the direction that our country is headed, and then, during the most crucial election of our time, a large number of educated and uneducated folks alike, chose a person who showed ALL of the warning signs of a radical in the making, and who immediately upon his "coronation" as the new ruler supreme, would take us in a tumbling, ever accelerating descent down into the pit of Socialism which relies on an ideology that is fundamentally flawed, even by the admission of its author, Karl Marx...as we chant along to the empty mantra "Change we can believe in." I hate to say it folks, but you've been had! You have just sealed your own fate! And unless people start waking up this "slobbering love affair" comes to an end, the very foundation of this country will find itself shaken to the point of cracking and we will be left, not only in a state of absolute disbelief, but in a state of vulnerability to the rise of future dictators and we may face an end to our freedom, for the sake of undefined, and unattainable "change." As my father always quoted, "Be careful what you wish for because you might just get it. "

Not only have we elected a man whose ideas of freedom and liberty boldly contradict those of our founding fathers, but we have placed in his hands, the tools to push forward a radical agenda with little to stop his momentum in the house and the senate. I pray for the bluedogs to hold strong, break ranks, and do what is right for this country, and not what they feel is right in the short term for their personal political aspirations. There is still hope, if we come together now to stop this speeding train, and DEMAND that those in power do what they were elected to do, which is to truly represent us rather than further their own desire for power and influence.
